This listing is for a Steel "BLACK" Powder Coated Laser Cut Headboard Ute Safety screen.
Pictured and shown is silver but we send Black
Our Headboard Safety screens bolts onto a standard Aluminum Tray body. Please note the dimension's on the second picture as these are the hole centers of our Headboard Safety Screen and the ally uprights on your tray. Yes, it bolts centrally on those uprights. You can paint them any color you wish such as silver shown but we prefer them in Black.
Why fit a Safety Screen?
Safety Screens are essential if carrying objects that can come loose in your tray and hit (go through) your rear glass window. For your own safety and your passengers, these Safety Screens not only look good but are very functional. We manufacture these from Australian 2.5mm Steel using a laser in Queensland. They have a return fold for added strength.
The Headboard Safety Screen comes with 6 bolts and 6 nuts. It is very easy to fit over the weekend
We will send the Headboard Safety Screen by post to your door in one to two days.
To fit.
Step 1 Match the hole centers to the Aluminum uprights centrally and mark one hole with a felt pen.
Step 2 Pre drill with a small drill the hole you marked with a felt pen. Then drill 8.5mm.
Step 3 Place a bolt and nut into the drilled hole and slightly tighten
Step 4 Lift the screen up on the opposite side and make it horizontal again marking the hole with a felt pen. Drill it the same as the first hole
Step 5 After locking up the second bolt use the safety screen as a template to drill the remaining 4 bolt holes
Other Traybodies
As there are hundreds of different Traybodies being used on utes, it is impossible to make one to suit all. Please let us know what tray body you have and we will custom make one for you. But you will need to give us "three" dimensions the hole centers as above picture the overall height and the overall length. We can custom make you one within two working weeks, price it and send it to your door. We can also make them for 4x4 as long as we have the correct information from you.
